Conference Craft collaborated with live media and streaming partners, Oxyfire, to deliver a high-stakes live and hybrid event for DP World, an international leader in end-to-end supply chain solutions. The project involved transforming a communal space within DP World’s London office into a fully functional professional broadcast studio.
The primary objective was to create an effective live broadcasting environment that catered to both a global online audience and a live studio audience.
Space Transformation: The team needed to convert an intimate communal area on the upper floors of the office into a polished studio setting.
Broadcast Quality: Ensuring high-quality audio and video production was essential for the livestream managed by Oxyfire.
Dual Engagement: The setup had to facilitate effective communication for panellists while engaging in-person attendees and remote viewers simultaneously.
The main challenge was delivering a high-end production value within the constraints of a corporate office environment. The lighting and audio setup needed to be broadcast-ready without overpowering the intimate nature of the live audience experience. It required precise coordination between the technical event management team and the camera crew to ensure the shots looked professional on screen.
Conference Craft provided the setup and technical execution, deploying AV hire solutions specifically tailored for broadcast.
Studio Backdrop: We installed a simple yet effective backdrop to enhance the filming environment, ensuring a clean look for the camera.
Broadcast Audio: For audio hire, we integrated a system using Yamaha and Dante audio processing. Panellists were equipped with Shure Lapel microphones for clear voice capture, while handheld microphones were provided for audience interaction.
Visual Displays: Two Samsung 85” screens were installed to relay presentation content to the live audience and display corporate branding while remaining visible in camera shots.
Lighting Design: Subtle and simple lighting was employed to highlight the presentation space and audience, optimising shot quality for the livestream.
The collaboration resulted in a successful live panel discussion that was broadcast globally. By leveraging the expertise of conference specialists and streaming partners, we delivered a high-quality experience that reinforced DP World’s branding through strategic visual elements.
