Conference Craft was commissioned to deliver the Shell AMC Leadership Conference, a high-profile corporate event requiring a polished technical execution. Held at a London Heathrow hotel, the focus was on creating a professional environment that facilitated clear communication and reflected the client’s brand values.
The objective was to provide a simple yet highly effective stage design that complemented Shell’s unique brand identity while ensuring flawless audio interaction between presenters and delegates.
Visual Continuity: The set design needed to frame the stage effectively.
Audience Interaction: A key requirement was to enable clear, two-way communication for all attendees at their tables.
Brand Presence: The backdrop had to serve as a strong visual anchor for the ‘AMC 2023: Leading in Changing Times’ theme.
The challenge lay in creating a wide, cohesive stage backdrop that integrated large projection surfaces without breaking the visual flow. We needed a solution that looked like a single, unified piece of art rather than separate screens and panels, ensuring the branding remained consistent across the entire width of the stage.
Conference Craft implemented a bespoke scenic design combined with high-level conferencing audio systems.
Seamless Digital Backdrop: We created shaped screen surrounds with 14ft rear projection surfaces and a central section to frame the stage. Crucially, all elements were covered in a single digital print, creating a seamless finish that perfectly displayed the brand graphics.
Delegate Audio Systems: To ensure perfect communication during discussions, every delegate table was equipped with a Bosch Wireless Congress microphone.
Presenter Audio: For the main speakers, we utilised Shure wireless microphones, ensuring clear and fluid interaction throughout the presentations.
Lighting & Rigging: As seen in the event imagery, an overhead truss system with moving heads and wash lights was employed to illuminate the stage and create atmosphere.
The event featured a visually unified stage that effectively communicated the ‘Leading in Changing Times’ theme. The combination of the seamless printed backdrop and the individual delegate microphones ensured that both the visual and auditory experience met the high standards required for a leadership conference.
